Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction FILM, which included the work Angelina Jolie, Bristish GQ by Antoine Verglas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,830.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Verglas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elle, Ibiza, 2004 in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,946.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion FILM durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angelina Jolie, Bristish GQ von Antoine Verglas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.830,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Verglas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elle, Ibiza, 2004 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.946,31).
