Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Nuit by Aristide Maillol was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,668.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aristide Maillol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Riviere, 1938-1943 in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 6,033,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Nuit von Aristide Maillol kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 187.500,00 (€ 160.668,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aristide Maillol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Riviere, 1938-1943 im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.033.500,00.
