Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 100,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baltasar Lobo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pièce D'Eau in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maternité sur socle (Esquisse pour Caracas) von Baltasar Lobo wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Collection Gerard Valkier : A lifetime journey with Art. bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 100.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69).
