Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work Choose Your Weapon (Light Orange) by Banksy. The price achieved of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 88,200.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Choose Your Weapon (Light Orange) von Banksy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 88.200,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
