Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sainte Rita Protegez Nice, 1994 by Benjamin Vautier was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in April 2007. The price achieved of EUR 23,431.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Vautier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fahrt über den Brienzersee von Iseltwald nach Riggenberg. 1867., which sold at auction in March 2006 for CHF 90,000.00 (€ 56,918.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sainte Rita Protegez Nice, 1994 von Benjamin Vautier kam im April 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 23.431,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Vautier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fahrt über den Brienzersee von Iseltwald nach Riggenberg. 1867. beobachtet, die im März 2006 für CHF 90.000,00 (€ 56.918,20) versteigert wurde.
