Auction result well in line with expectations
The work GRIB by Bernar Venet was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 37,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernar Venet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 221.5° Arc x 15 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 877,000.00 (€ 777,000.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit GRIB von Bernar Venet wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernar Venet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 221.5° Arc x 15 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 877.000,00 (€ 777.000,09).
