Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Etude De Calèche by Bernard Boutet de Monvel was sold in the Oeuvres sur Papier auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Boutet de Monvel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work S.A.R. Le Maharadjah D'Indore in April 2016 with an auction result of EUR 2,499,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Etude De Calèche von Bernard Boutet de Monvel wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Oeuvres sur Papier bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Boutet de Monvel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit S.A.R. Le Maharadjah D'Indore im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.499.000,00.
