Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bateaux à quai by Berthe Morisot was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000 - 120,000, the actual price achieved of EUR 87,500 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000 (€ 4,780,966).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bateaux à quai von Berthe Morisot kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80.000 – 120.000 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 87.500 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000 (€ 4.780.966).
