This artwork by Boris Mikhailov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November 2017. In the Stripped Bare: Photographs from the Collection of Thomas Koerfer auction, the work Untitled, de la série Case History, 1997-1998 sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Mikhailov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 57,500.00 (€ 67,112.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Boris Mikhailov erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Stripped Bare: Photographs from the Collection of Thomas Koerfer wurde die Arbeit Untitled, de la série Case History, 1997-1998 für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Boris Mikhailov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twenty-Three Works From By The Ground Series beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 57.500,00 (€ 67.112,80) versteigert wurde.
