Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Birds And Flowers by Cai Xian. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,976.68). Admittedly, works by Cai Xian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monkeys and Horses in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 472,000.00 (€ 57,516.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds And Flowers von Cai Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.976,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cai Xian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monkeys and Horses im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 57.516,35).
