Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work Le lavoir de Bazincourt by Camille Pissarro. The price achieved of HKD 8,820,000.00 (€ 1,057,174.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 6,000,000.00 – 10,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Camille Pissarro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Boulevard Montmartre, Matinée De Printemps in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 19,682,500.00 (€ 23,879,608.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le lavoir de Bazincourt von Camille Pissarro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 8.820.000,00 (€ 1.057.174,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 6.000.000,00 – 10.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Camille Pissarro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Boulevard Montmartre, Matinée De Printemps im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.682.500,00 (€ 23.879.608,50).
