Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Tambourine Player by Emile Charles Lecomte-Vernet was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 59,750.00 (€ 60,469.59). Other works by Emile Charles Lecomte-Vernet have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2010 by the work French aimée, A Young Egyptian at USD 92,500.00 (€ 70,957.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Tambourine Player von Emile Charles Lecomte-Vernet im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 59.750,00 (€ 60.469,59) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Emile Charles Lecomte-Vernet wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2010 die Arbeit French aimée, A Young Egyptian mit USD 92.500,00 (€ 70.957,35).
