In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition, which included this untitled work by Chen Jialing. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,284.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Jialing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chen Jialing zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.284,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Jialing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
