Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chris Huen Sin Kan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Muimui sold for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 145,348.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chris Huen Sin Kan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot b. 1991 sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Huen Sin Kan erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Muimui für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 145.348,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chris Huen Sin Kan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit b. 1991 im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76).
