In November 2016 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary, which included the work "Pigalle, Paris 1954" by Christer Strömholm. The result of SEK 20,000.00 (€ 2,041.97) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christer Strömholm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Hiroshima-sviten", 1963 (22 parts) in November 2011 with an auction result of SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,602.02).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2016 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Pigalle, Paris 1954" von Christer Strömholm zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 20.000,00 (€ 2.041,97) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christer Strömholm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Hiroshima-sviten", 1963 (22 parts) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.602,02).
