Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 1,848.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wrapped Bridge, Project for Le Pont Alexandre III, Paris. von Christo kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei VAN HAM zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.848,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
