Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chemin creux, Pourville by Claude Monet was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 283,177.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chemin creux, Pourville von Claude Monet wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 283.177,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
