Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Le Golfe Juan by Claude Monet. The price achieved of GBP 1,111,500.00 (€ 1,317,808.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Golfe Juan von Claude Monet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.111.500,00 (€ 1.317.808,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
