It achieved a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,274.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Colin Davidson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café Window (Piccadilly) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 45,523.29).

Die Arbeit Study Seamus Heaney von Colin Davidson kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.274,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Davidson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café Window (Piccadilly) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 45.523,29).
