Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Tights (No 9)', 1987 by Daido Moriyama was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,834.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daido Moriyama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,323.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Tights (No 9)', 1987 von Daido Moriyama kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.834,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Daido Moriyama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 31.700,00 (€ 40.323,79) versteigert wurde.
