Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cancer Chronicles (Malaria) by Damien Hirst was sold in the The Contemporary Sale & Michael Clark Company Benefit Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 280,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 288,000.00 (€ 430,297.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cancer Chronicles (Malaria) von Damien Hirst wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion The Contemporary Sale & Michael Clark Company Benefit Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 280.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 288.000,00 (€ 430.297,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
