Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work New Haven Show Train, 1949 by Dan Weiner for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.59). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Weiner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Women watching Joan Blondell in Grand Central Station, which sold at auction in October 2001 for USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,573.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit New Haven Show Train, 1949 von Dan Weiner für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.424,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Weiner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Women watching Joan Blondell in Grand Central Station beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für USD 4.112,50 (€ 4.573,00) versteigert wurde.
