It achieved a price of USD 119,700.00 (€ 98,163.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Alfaro Siqueiros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción), which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).

Die Arbeit El Fariseo De Hoy von David Alfaro Siqueiros wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 98.163,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43) versteigert wurde.
