Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for the First Marriage (A Marriage of Styles I) by David Hockney was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 40,960.00 (€ 47,670.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for the First Marriage (A Marriage of Styles I) von David Hockney wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
