This artwork by Derek Fordjour achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Three Point Bend sold for GBP 415,800.00 (€ 484,402.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Derek Fordjour; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ornithologist sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Derek Fordjour erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Three Point Bend für GBP 415.800,00 (€ 484.402,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Derek Fordjour; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ornithologist im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
