Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work A Jewish Giant At The Home Of His Parents, Bronx, From 'A Box Of Ten', 1967 by Diane Arbus. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,378.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diane Arbus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Jewish Giant At The Home Of His Parents, Bronx, From 'A Box Of Ten', 1967 von Diane Arbus zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.378,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diane Arbus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A box of ten photographs im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 946.123,52).
