The work Dappled sunshine, Cassis, France by Dorothea Sharp was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,575.00 (€ 18,857.26), 66% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dorothea Sharp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Orchard, Picking Plums in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).

Die Arbeit Dappled sunshine, Cassis, France von Dorothea Sharp wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.575,00 (€ 18.857,26) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothea Sharp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39).
