Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Narcissus by Duane Michals was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,825.00 (€ 7,929.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duane Michals - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol', which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).

Die Arbeit Narcissus von Duane Michals kam im Juli 2019 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.825,00 (€ 7.929,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Duane Michals mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39) versteigert wurde.
