In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Gravitation by Eduardo Chillida. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 82,950.00 (€ 95,249.65), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Chillida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rumor de Limites No. Vi in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,024,000.00 (€ 2,928,694.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gravitation von Eduardo Chillida zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 82.950,00 (€ 95.249,65) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Chillida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rumor de Limites No. Vi im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.024.000,00 (€ 2.928.694,26).
