In the The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II auction, the work With pride upon her brown sold for USD 2,125 (€ 1,660) - well above the upper estimate of USD 900. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Austin Abbey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman In White, which sold at auction in March 2009 for USD 8,125 (€ 6,127).
