Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Stroll Around London by Edwin Austin Abbey was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 312 (€ 457). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Austin Abbey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman In White in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 8,125 (€ 6,127).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 312 (€ 457) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Austin Abbey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman In White im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125 (€ 6.127).
