Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Standing Bull by Elie Nadelman was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,266.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elie Nadelman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horse in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 681,413.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Standing Bull von Elie Nadelman im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.266,56) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elie Nadelman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horse im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 681.413,78).
