Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ernst Haas could be acquired at Bonhams in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Classic & Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Nature and Machine changed hands for USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,774.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernst Haas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Route 66, Albuquerque, New Mexico, which sold at auction in October last year for USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernst Haas konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Nature and Machine für USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.774,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernst Haas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Route 66, Albuquerque, New Mexico beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für USD 21.420,00 (€ 21.562,31) versteigert wurde.
