Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Airwoman, Circa 1930 by Ferdinand Preiss was sold in the 20th Century Decorative Art & Design auction at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,708.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand Preiss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Breasting The Tape Sculpture, Circa 1925, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 44,652.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Airwoman, Circa 1930 von Ferdinand Preiss wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century Decorative Art & Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.708,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Preiss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Breasting The Tape Sculpture, Circa 1925 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 44.652,73) versteigert wurde.
