Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hoop Girl and Sonny Boy by Ferdinand Preiss was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,422.50 (€ 1,996.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Preiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breasting The Tape Sculpture, Circa 1925 in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 44,652.73).

Die Arbeit Hoop Girl and Sonny Boy von Ferdinand Preiss kam im Januar 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.422,50 (€ 1.996,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Preiss erzielen.
