Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dog on a cushion by Fernando Botero was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 254,400.00 (€ 292,121.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dog on a cushion von Fernando Botero kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 254.400,00 (€ 292.121,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
