Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Hope In The Ruins Of Manila by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo. The price achieved of HKD 2,680,000.00 (€ 327,324.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,300,000.00 – 3,200,000.00. Other works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2019 the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 was auctioned for HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).
