In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A British raid on the German lines through clouds of poison gas sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,915.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Fortunino Matania have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06).
