Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work H.R.H. Queen Mary's procession to the throne; and H.R.H. Queen Mary's Coronation (illustrated) by Fortunino Matania was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in October 2014. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,037.45), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fortunino Matania achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit H.R.H. Queen Mary's procession to the throne; and H.R.H. Queen Mary's Coronation (illustrated) von Fortunino Matania wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.037,45) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fortunino Matania erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.760,00 (€ 17.429,06).
