This artwork by Francisco Leiro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Madrid in October 2004. In the ARTE ESPANOL auction, the work Cría Roja sold for EUR 28,680.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Leiro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rapaz con banqueta, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 66,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco Leiro erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Madrid einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE ESPANOL wurde die Arbeit Cría Roja für EUR 28.680,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Leiro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rapaz con banqueta beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für EUR 66.000,00 versteigert wurde.
