Auction result misses estimated price range

In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Sauna by Fred Yates for GBP 416.00 (€ 477.68). This price was achieved in the auction Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates at Bonhams in Paris and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Yates achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Still Lifes in October this year with an auction result of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,167.75).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Sauna von Fred Yates für GBP 416,00 (€ 477,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates bei Bonhams in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Yates erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair of Still Lifes im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.167,75).
