The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fritz Scholder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Dartmouth Portrait #8," 1973 in August last year with an auction result of USD 378,375.00 (€ 375,931.45).

Die Arbeit Indian on Galloping Horse After Remington #2 von Fritz Scholder wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Native American Art and JewelryFeaturing the Historic Pictorial Beadwork Collection of Joel and Kate Kopp bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.125,66) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fritz Scholder erzielen.
