This artwork by Galileo Chini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2001. In the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction, the work Gregge nel bosco sold for ITL 22,050,000.00 (€ 20,863.39) - well above the upper estimate of ITL 12,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Galileo Chini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vecchio Cimitero Di Sam Phaya, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 72,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Galileo Chini erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA wurde die Arbeit Gregge nel bosco für ITL 22.050.000,00 (€ 20.863,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von ITL 12.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Galileo Chini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vecchio Cimitero Di Sam Phaya beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für EUR 72.750,00 versteigert wurde.
