This artwork by Georges Dayez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2006. In the The House Sale auction, the work Piano Parade sold for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,219.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Dayez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl Playing Piano, which sold at auction in February 2000 for USD 3,680.00 (€ 3,816.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Dayez erzielte im August 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Piano Parade für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.219,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Dayez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl Playing Piano beobachtet, die im Februar 2000 für USD 3.680,00 (€ 3.816,24) versteigert wurde.
