Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Gert Marcus was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 14,000.00 (€ 1,349.88). Admittedly, works by Gert Marcus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study for "Di-edersekvensen" in November 2019 with an auction result of SEK 85,000.00 (€ 8,053.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gert Marcus im Oktober 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 14.000,00 (€ 1.349,88) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gert Marcus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study for "Di-edersekvensen" im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 85.000,00 (€ 8.053,36).
