The work Wild Flowers In A Meadow, Thought To Be Near Aviemore by Gertrude Martineau was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings auction at Christies in London in December 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 687.50 (€ 934.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gertrude Martineau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset on Sark, Channel Islands, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,872.13).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 687,50 (€ 934,20) einen neuen Besitzer.
