Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Fiori by Giovanni Omiccioli. The price achieved of ITL 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,189.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Omiccioli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piazzale diPonte Milvio, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 16,740.00.
