This artwork by Graham Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Photographs auction, the work Architectural study, December 1976 sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,200.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Graham Smith; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Below The Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne', 1976 sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,742.70).
