Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Guan Yong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Classic 6 sold for HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 141,338.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guan Yong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Do you Know? We are so distressed sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of HKD 2,420,000.00 (€ 251,410.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Yong erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
