Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Capucines by Gustave Caillebotte was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,129,000.00 (€ 1,296,405.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 900,000.00 – 1,400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Caillebotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeune homme à sa fenêtre in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 53,030,000.00 (€ 46,983,255.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Capucines von Gustave Caillebotte kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.129.000,00 (€ 1.296.405,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 900.000,00 – 1.400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Caillebotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeune homme à sa fenêtre im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.030.000,00 (€ 46.983.255,07).
